Privacy Policy for facloth
This Privacy Policy explains what information facloth ("the App", "we", "us") collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. facloth is a social app for sharing photos of what you're wearing, following other users, and getting AI-powered outfit ideas.
1. Who we are
facloth. You can reach us at faclothclothing@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide directly
- Account information: email address and password, used to create and secure your account (handled by Firebase Authentication; we do not store your password ourselves). If you sign in with Google, we receive your email and name from Google instead.
- Date of birth: collected when you create an account, used only to confirm you meet the App's minimum age requirement (see our Terms of Service).
- Profile information: username, display name, bio, profile picture, and profile banner images.
- Content you post: photos, captions, and any clothing brand/type/product tags you add to a post.
- Comments: text you post on other users' content.
- Social actions: who you follow, who you've blocked, and posts you've liked.
- Reports: if you report a post or profile, we collect the reason you selected and any additional details you provide.
- Outfit Builder preferences: the style choices you enter (such as budget, gender, clothing categories, preferred brands, per-item color choices, and items you mark as not interested) are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) and product-search provider (Channel3) to generate outfit recommendations and find matching real products. We don't store the outfits generated for you — only a count of the outfit cards generated for you in your current billing period, used to enforce your subscription plan's per-period card quota.
Information collected automatically
- Standard technical data processed by our infrastructure provider (Google Firebase) to operate the service securely — for example, authentication tokens and basic request metadata.
- Push notification token: if you allow notifications, we store a device push token (via Expo's push notification service) so we can send you notifications, such as when someone follows you. You can turn this off anytime in the App's notification settings or your device settings.
- Subscription and purchase information: if you subscribe to Facloth Pro, your payment is processed by Google Play — we never receive or store your payment card details. We receive your subscription status (which plan, and whether it's active) from our subscription management provider, RevenueCat, so we can grant you access to Pro features.
- Crash and error diagnostics: if the App crashes or hits an unexpected error, technical details (device type, OS version, app version, and the error itself) are sent to our crash-reporting provider, Sentry, so we can fix the problem. This does not include your posts or account credentials.
- Advertising data: the App shows ads served by Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). AdMob may collect your advertising identifier and other device/usage data to select and measure ads, and to provide fraud protection. Where required (for example, users in the EEA/UK), we ask for your consent to this via a consent form shown in the App before any personalized ads are requested, using Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP).
- Automated content screening: photos you post are automatically analyzed by Google Cloud Vision API to check for content that violates our Terms of Service (such as nudity or graphic violence). Content identified this way is removed automatically and you'll be notified in the App.
Information we do not collect
- We do not collect your precise location.
- We do not access your contacts.
3. How we use your information
We use the information above to:
- Create and maintain your account
- Confirm you meet the App's minimum age requirement
- Display your profile, posts, and activity to other users as intended by the App's core features
- Enable following, liking, and commenting between users
- Let you block other users and control who can interact with you
- Generate personalized outfit recommendations through the AI Outfit Builder, if you choose to use it
- Process your Facloth Pro subscription and grant access to Pro features
- Send you push notifications you've opted into (for example, new followers)
- Review reports of content or accounts that may violate our guidelines, and automatically screen posted photos for certain policy violations
- Diagnose and fix crashes and errors
- Maintain the security and integrity of the service (e.g., preventing abuse)
We do not sell your personal information.
4. How information is shared
- With other users: your username, display name, bio, profile picture, posts, and comments are visible to other signed-in users of the App by design — this is how a social app functions.
- Reports: when you report content, the report (including who you are) is visible to us for moderation review — it is not shared with the person you reported.
- Service providers: we use Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Storage) to store and operate the App's data, and Sentry for crash and error reporting. Firebase's handling of data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy; Sentry's by their own privacy policy.
- Outfit Builder: your style preferences entered into the Outfit Builder are sent to Anthropic (AI outfit generation) and Channel3 (product search) solely to produce your results. This is governed by their own privacy policies.
- Subscriptions: purchases are processed by Google Play; we do not receive or store your payment card details. We use RevenueCat to manage and sync your subscription status across our systems, governed by RevenueCat's privacy policy.
- Content moderation: photos you post are sent to Google Cloud Vision API for automated analysis to detect content that violates our Terms of Service. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- Advertising: we use Google AdMob to show ads in the App. AdMob may share data about your device and app activity with Google and its advertising partners for ad delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention, as described in Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps. You can manage your ad personalization choices where a consent form is shown, and generally through your device's ad settings.
- We do not sell your information or share it with data brokers.
5. Data retention and deletion
You can delete your account at any time from within the App (Profile → Settings → Delete Account). Doing so permanently deletes your posts, comments, likes, follows, blocks, and profile information from our systems. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active Facloth Pro subscription — cancel it separately through Google Play (or the App's Settings → Manage Subscription) to stop future billing.
If you no longer have the App installed, you can request account and data deletion at facloth-211c9.web.app/delete-account.html or by emailing us at faclothclothing@gmail.com.
6. Children's privacy
facloth is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children under this age. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us at faclothclothing@gmail.com and we will take appropriate action.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. You can exercise most of these rights directly in the App (editing your profile, deleting your account). For anything else, contact us at faclothclothing@gmail.com.
8. Security
We rely on Firebase's security infrastructure and our own access-control rules to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
